The EX5 is a generously equipped, five-seat, mid-sized all-electric SUV out of China. Two front-wheel drive grades will run short blade batteries powering a 160kW/320Nm electric traction motor for 400km+ range and 20 minute 30-80 per cent recharge capability.

China’s Geely Automobile will open for business in Australia by launching a 1.5-litre Corolla-sized Geely MK sedan and five-door hatch small car in Western Australia only, early in 2011. Powered by a 1.5-litre petrol engine mated to either a four-speed automatic or five-speed manual transmission, it will be priced competitively with Korean small cars.
