BYD’s first Shark 6 dual-cab one-tonne 4x4 petrol/electric ute has gone to its new Brisbane owner. It is one of the first hybrid utes here and uses its ICE engine as a generator (EREV). Output is 320kW/650Nm with claimed EV only range of 100km.

The first PHEV ute to arrive in Australia. Orders open on October 29 when pricing will be notified. Powertrain uses a 1.5-litre turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine, two electric motors and a Blade battery pack.
