Super TestCar reviews - Ford - T-Series - TS50 sedanFord modelsResearch Ford Stand Out Features20 May 2002 SOME Australian sports sedans rely more on engine performance than others to deliver their knockout punch, but a 250kW engine is not the TS50's only stand-out feature. The locally rebuilt 5.6-litre stroked Windsor V8 produces an astonishing 500Nm of torque (just 10Nm shy of HSV's US-built 300kW performance flagship), but the way in which the agile, Tickford-tuned Falcon chassis claws its power to the ground is an even greater feat. Like all Tickford-built XRs, the TS50's precise and communicative steering is also a highlight, but so too are the standard Tickford brakes. Did you know?According to Ford, when it comes to TS50's Tickford-built 250kW engine "each of these mechanical masterpieces is hand-built and every engine is engraved with the name of the artisan who brought it to life"All car reviewsAlfa Romeo Abarth Alpine Alpina Audi Aston Martin BMW Bentley Chevrolet Chery Citroen Chrysler Dodge Cupra Ferrari DS Ford Fiat FPV Foton GWM Great Wall Holden Haval HSV Honda Hyundai Hummer Isuzu Infiniti Jeep Jaguar Lamborghini Kia LDV Land Rover Lotus Lexus Maserati Mahindra McLaren Mazda Mercedes-Benz Mercedes-AMG Mini MG Nissan Mitsubishi Peugeot Opel Proton Porsche Renault Ram Rover Rolls-Royce Skoda Saab SsangYong Smart Suzuki Subaru Toyota Tesla Volvo Volkswagen |
