Super TestCar reviews - Nissan - Patrol - ST 3.0 TDi 5-dr wagonNissan modelsSteering6 Feb 2001 By P TIBBLES NISSAN got its sums right, in terms of steering response with the GQ Patrol, which was a relief because memories of the long-gone and horrendous MQ persist. The latest Patrol continues with a proven formula, using a recirculating ball system that manages to provide some feel and wheel response while still being light enough to park the 2385kg off-roader without effort. The turning circle is reasonable at 12.5 metres and the ratio is sharp enough to have the wheel twirling from lock to lock in exactly three turns. Did you know?On all Patrols the approach angle is 37 degrees, the departure angle is 31 degrees and the ramp-over angle is 27 degreesAll car reviewsAlfa Romeo Abarth Alpine Alpina Audi Aston Martin BMW Bentley Chevrolet Chery Citroen Chrysler Dodge Cupra Ferrari DS Ford Fiat FPV Foton GWM Great Wall Holden Haval HSV Honda Hyundai Hummer Isuzu Infiniti Jeep Jaguar Lamborghini Kia LDV Land Rover Lotus Lexus Maserati Mahindra McLaren Mazda Mercedes-Benz Mercedes-AMG Mini MG Nissan Mitsubishi Peugeot Opel Proton Porsche Renault Ram Rover Rolls-Royce Skoda Saab SsangYong Smart Suzuki Subaru Toyota Tesla Volvo Volkswagen |
