Super TestCar reviews - Audi - Allroad - 2.5 TDIAudi modelsThe Car16 Aug 2002 By BRUCE NEWTON THE V6 diesel Allroad differs from the V6 petrol version in only the obvious mechanical areas, sharing with it the flared wheel arches, 17-inch dual-spoke alloy wheels and the metallic (imitation and genuine) styling aspects such as window frames, roof rails, door capping strips, twin exhaust pipe extensions and stainless steel undertray panels on the front and rear bumper. Audi uses a quantity of grey plastic to beef up the wagon around the sills and bumpers, and although the same surfaces may have looked good painted, the Allroad gains its desired rugged appearance from what would once have looked like a vehicle that missed its turn in the spray booth. Allroad is 4810mm long, 1852mm wide and 1551mm tall, up on the A6 Avant in each measurement. Did you know?At launch the Allroad quattro was available in Australia in four colours - Highland Green metallic, Atlas Grey metallic, Brilliant Black and Light SilverAll car reviewsAlfa Romeo Abarth Alpine Alpina Audi Aston Martin BMW Bentley Chevrolet Chery Citroen Chrysler Dodge Cupra Ferrari DS Ford Fiat FPV Foton GWM Great Wall Holden Haval HSV Honda Hyundai Hummer Isuzu Infiniti Jeep Jaguar Lamborghini Kia LDV Land Rover Lotus Lexus Maserati Mahindra McLaren Mazda Mercedes-Benz Mercedes-AMG Mini MG Nissan Mitsubishi Peugeot Opel Proton Porsche Renault Ram Rover Rolls-Royce Skoda Saab SsangYong Smart Suzuki Subaru Toyota Tesla Volvo Volkswagen |
