A heavy facelift of the B2 80 resulted in a smoother new nose and tail, revamped interior and revised suspension.

This time Audi importer at the time LNC overlooked the gutsy five-cylinder for a lusty 66kW 1.8L 4-cylinder engine.

But its ageing styling and spartan cabin didn’t endear the 80 CC to many buyers, and it was discontinued quietly only after 12 months.
