A front and rear facelift, a comprehensively revised cabin, the introduction of electronically adjustable shock absorbers, new trim and more features and refinement distinguished the HB series II.
The 2-door Hardtop’s fussy side window treatment was cleaned up. But the biggest change was the introduction of the GC 626’s gutsy (though temperamental) 70kW 2.0L engine and a 4-speed auto transmission.
In February ’86 an 87kW 2.0L fuel-injected turbocharged version was also available.
