The rear parcel shelf was raised 40mm and re-shaped, and retains a storage compartment plus a roll-out sun blind and two radio speakers. The higher boot allows two large suitcases to be stored vertically, while the 406 offers a split-fold rear seat to allow long items to be carried while still providing rear seat accommodation. Two handles in the boot operate the split-fold backrest.
