Super TestCar reviews - Land Rover - Freelander - ES V6 3-dr wagonLand Rover modelsSeats31 Aug 2001 FREELANDER seats are claimed to use carefully selected materials, such as high-density cold-cure polyurethane foam, dual-hardness foams and high-durability fabrics, combined with seat suspensions that are claimed to be tuned to harmonise with the vehicle's suspension characteristics. All models have driver's seat lumbar adjustment - a new feature on the three-door - however none are adjustable for height. The ES features leather seats, with the front pews able to be heated. The front seatbelts have load limiters and pretensioners, but are not adjustable for height on the three-door. The front seats have a tilt function for rear seat access rather than a more useful tilt-slide action, though the restricted front seat travel means there's always some space behind the front seats to step into. Did you know? While Land Rover built its reputation for rugged off-roaders on a separate chassis construction, the Freelander reflects the modern expectation for maximum crash protection over and above off-road strength and durability. As a result, it uses a monocoque (or car-like) chassis construction designed to crumple and absorb energy in the event of a collisionAll car reviewsAlfa Romeo Abarth Alpine Alpina Audi Aston Martin BMW Bentley Chevrolet Chery Citroen Chrysler Dodge Cupra Ferrari DS Ford Fiat FPV Foton GWM Great Wall Holden Haval HSV Honda Hyundai Hummer Isuzu Infiniti Jeep Jaguar Lamborghini Kia LDV Land Rover Lotus Lexus Maserati Mahindra McLaren Mazda Mercedes-Benz Mercedes-AMG Mini MG Nissan Mitsubishi Peugeot Opel Proton Porsche Renault Ram Rover Rolls-Royce Skoda Saab SsangYong Smart Suzuki Subaru Toyota Tesla Volvo Volkswagen |
