Super TestCar reviews - Honda - Insight - 3-dr hatchHonda modelsStand Out Features19 Jun 2001 By BRUCE NEWTON THE Insight owner is unlikely to recoup the cost of the vehicle in fuel savings. And he or she certainly won't save the planet with the purchase. But there is satisfaction in the knowledge that this hybrid vehicle will faithfully provide outstanding fuel economy and heavily reduced emissions. Standard features, interior provisions and performance are below par for the pricetag, but in terms of passive safety, low emissions, and fuel efficiency brought about by the slippery shape (an incredible 0.25 Cd), lightweight components (the car weighs 827 kg) and the hybrid petrol/electric powertrain, the Insight is nothing short of sensational. Did you know? The Californian ultra-low emissions vehicle (ULEV) standard the Insight conforms to is 90 per cent below than Australian emission requirementsAll car reviewsAlfa Romeo Abarth Alpine Alpina Audi Aston Martin BMW Bentley Chevrolet Chery Citroen Chrysler Dodge Cupra Ferrari DS Ford Fiat FPV Foton GWM Great Wall Holden Haval HSV Honda Hyundai Hummer Isuzu Infiniti Jeep Jaguar Lamborghini Kia LDV Land Rover Lotus Lexus Maserati Mahindra McLaren Mazda Mercedes-Benz Mercedes-AMG Mini MG Nissan Mitsubishi Peugeot Opel Proton Porsche Renault Ram Rover Rolls-Royce Skoda Saab SsangYong Smart Suzuki Subaru Toyota Tesla Volvo Volkswagen |
