Super TestCar reviews - Ford - Laser - SR2 5-dr hatchFord modelsResearch Ford What's Changed20 Jul 2001 By BRUCE NEWTON SR2 is currently the only way buyers can get their hands on the new 2.0-litre engine powering the Laser. Its insertion has necessitated a number of mechanical modifications and its timing coincides with a general Laser facelift, which on the inside includes lidded cup holders, new fabrics, a brushed silver centre dash on all models bar LXi and the addition of a front passenger seatback pocket. Safety enhancements to the body structure, increased body rigidity and several suspension modifications were also made. The SR exterior speaks for itself - loud and proud, with a large rear wing, big-bore chrome exhaust tip, side skirts, side rocker mouldings and 16-inch alloy wheels shod with low-profile tyres. Did you know? The main external difference between the SR and SR2 is the alloy wheel size (15-inch versus 16-inch respectively)All car reviewsAlfa Romeo Abarth Alpine Alpina Audi Aston Martin BMW Bentley Chevrolet Chery Citroen Chrysler Dodge Cupra Ferrari DS Ford Fiat FPV Foton GWM Great Wall Holden Haval HSV Honda Hyundai Hummer Isuzu Infiniti Jeep Jaguar Lamborghini Kia LDV Land Rover Lotus Lexus Maserati Mahindra McLaren Mazda Mercedes-Benz Mercedes-AMG Mini MG Nissan Mitsubishi Peugeot Opel Proton Porsche Renault Ram Rover Rolls-Royce Skoda Saab SsangYong Smart Suzuki Subaru Toyota Tesla Volvo Volkswagen |
