Super TestCar reviews - Ford - Falcon - Fairmont Ghia V8 sedanFord modelsThe Car22 Nov 2002 BA FALCON'S cleaner, more masculine exterior styling is presented in its most opulent iteration in the Fairmont Ghia, Ford's flagship short-wheelbase sedan. Concealed washers and wipers, and the new on-glass antenna clean up the crisp new interior, while the heavily chromed grille with grey cross-hatching and clear lens twin headlights are shared with Fairmont. Of course, wing mirrors and the full front and side bodywork treatment are finished in body colour, and fog lights are fitted. The Fairmont Ghia we drove had more consistent panel fit and finish than previous BA XTs we have driven and, while there's more differentiation across the VY Commodore range, the BA Fairmont Ghia's unique 17-inch alloys, lower ride height and extra chrome highlights give it a look all of its own.
