Former BMW, MAN exec Karl Viktor Schaller joins board of electric truck start-up Volta14 Nov 2022 By NEIL DOWLING STOCKHOLM-based electric commercial vehicle manufacturer, Volta Trucks, has appointed former MAN and BMW Motorrad executive Karl Viktor Schaller to its board.
Volta is a full-electric commercial vehicle manufacturer and services provider. It has customer trials now underway in Europe and already has an order bank of about 6500 vehicles with a value equivalent to about $A2 billion.
In November 2021, Volta announced Europe’s largest purchase of full-electric trucks with logistics giant DB Schenker’s order of 1470 vehicles. This followed refrigerated transport provider Petit Forestier’s order of 1000 Volta Zeros.
