Engineer and suspension expert David Potter, who developed and patented ground-breaking adjustable dampers and successfully applied his thesis on new chassis development to the brand’s rally and road cars, joined Hyundai as a consultant in 2013.
On one of his many visits to Australia he presented a new suspension tuning program for the Elantra in 2016 that instantly became a benchmark ride and handling standard for mainstream small cars and promoted Hyundai as a company that could deliver vehicles with a high standard of dynamics.
