News - General News - PeopleFormer Aston boss quits EV bus-makerAndy Palmer moves on from Switch vice chair and CEO role, hands over to Mahesh Babu11 Nov 2022 By NEIL DOWLING ANDY Palmer has stepped down as vice chair and CEO of Switch Mobility – the UK-based EV subsidiary of Hinduja flagship Ashok Leyland – for personal reasons after 15 months in the role.
Following six years as CEO of Aston Martin, in late 2020 he joined Switch (then called Optare) as non-executive chairman before becoming CEO in July last year.
Dr Palmer has been replaced as CEO at Switch by Mahesh Babu, while Dheeraj Hinduja has assumed the role of executive chair.
