New models - Audi - Q2 - Edition #2Audi adds Edition #2 duo to Q2 line-upAudi spruces up Q2 crossover with Edition #2 variants adding style and specification9 Mar 2020 AUDI Australia has bolstered its Q2 compact SUV range by adding a new duo of ‘Edition #2’ variants which add extra styling and equipment for a $2600 or $3000 premium over their respective donor model.
Based on the current 35 TFSI and 40 TFSI Quattro, the Edition #2 Q2 variants are priced from $44,550 and $52,400 respectively (plus on-road costs).
For the extra outlay, Audi says the “distinctive exterior features give a sportier and more progressive edge in the urban jungle”.
These features extend to a new 19-inch alloy wheel design for the Q2 while convenience key and Audi side assist (advanced blind-spot monitoring) account for the remaining extra gear.
According to Audi Australia product planning and pricing director Shawn Ticehurst, the Edition #2 variants add to the value and attractiveness already offered by the Q2 range, with the new duo adding up to $4000 worth of equipment.
“The Audi Q2 Edition #2 extends our compact SUV offering to customers that love the urban charisma of the Q2 but are seeking an even sportier exterior design,” he said.
Other standard equipment on the Edition #2 variants reads the same as their respective standard versions, running to dual-zone climate control, automatic headlights, rain-sensing wipers, reversing camera, leather upholstery, Audi connect, Qi wireless charging, Bluetooth, DAB+ digital radio and a 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment screen.
Both variants also go unchanged under the bonnet, meaning the 35 TFSI’s 110kW/250Nm 1.4-litre turbocharged powerplant drives the front wheels via a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission while the 40 TFSI’s 2.0-litre turbo pumps out 140kW/320Nm, fed to all four wheels via the same transmission and Audi’s quattro permanent all-wheel-drive system.
So far this year Audi has sold 296 Q2s, down 17.5 per cent on the same period last year. Last year, the German brand recorded 2155 Q2 sales.
