Future models - Nissan - Tiida - SportFirst look: Nissan Tiida Sport echoes spirit of SSSNissan has given its humble Tiida hatch more edge and aggression18 Oct 2005 THIS is one to watch, for Nissan’s Tiida Sport Concept points to a return of the venerable Pulsar SSS. The exterior features a deep front spoiler and side sills, large roof-mounted spoiler and muscular mudguards covering enormous 20-inch six-spoke alloys. Projector-style front and rear lights with multi-layer reflectors and pearlescent white paint complete the custom-car effect, while Nissan describes the car’s overall poise as animated, video game-like. The body makes extensive use of metal and carbon-fibre composite components, and while Nissan is not talking engines, expect turbocharging to be part of the package. Inside, the sports interior is designed for four adults with the driver gaining a thick three-spoke steering wheel and sports instrument cluster. Four deep, body-wrapping sports seats are covered in wolf grey leather with double-layered pearl suede inserts, feature-formed headrests and four-point seatbelts. Nissan also used this year's Sydney show to preview the regular Tiida, which will replace its Pulsar small car stalwart in Australia early next year.
