Future models - Nissan - RogueFirst look: Nissan Rogue a mini-MuranoOff-roader takes aim at Forester and CR-V12 Jan 2007 By NEIL MCDONALD and TERRY MARTIN NISSAN presented its new Rogue compact SUV at Detroit this week, which will sit between the Qashqai and Murano and compete against the likes of the Honda CR-V and Subaru Forester. It will not be seen in Australia as the new X-Trail – that will be left to a re-bodied version of the Renault Koleos, to be built in Japan. However, the Rogue does have some features to watch out for, including a 126kW/238Nm 2.5-litre DOHC 16-valve four-cylinder engine paired with a standard Xtronic CVT with paddle shifters. It will be available with either front-wheel drive or a new AWD system with yaw rate control. The Rogue will cost $US20,000 ($A25,600) when it goes on sale in North America mid-year.
