Future models - Genesis - X GranNew Genesis concept a virtual powerhouseX Gran Racer Vision Gran Turismo concept from Genesis exists in the virtual world28 Jun 2024 By MATT BROGAN GENESIS has unveiled details of its fourth vehicle developed for the PlayStation Gran Turismo video game series, the X Gran Racer Vision Gran Turismo concept making its public debut at this week’s Busan International Mobility Show (BIMOS) in South Korea.
Based upon the X Gran Berlinetta concept, the latest Genesis addition shares that model’s mid-mounted V6 petrol engine bolstered by an electric supercharger. The unit is further assisted by an electric motor to offer a combined output of 1148kW and 1425Nm.
Loaded with additional active aerodynamic enhancements the concept model continues to carry trademark Genesis Two-Line lighting front and rear, as well as an illuminated crest-shaped grille.
Inside, the single-seat cockpit includes a yoke-style steering wheel, an integrated roll cage, and full-width instrumentation display across the dashboard. As seen outside, there is extensive use of carbon-fibre alongside “strategically placed” quilted padding for areas of driver support.
“Genesis is constantly pushing the boundaries to deliver its unique values of safety, comfort and cruiseable driving experience,” said global head of Genesis Mike Song.
“As Korea’s leading luxury brand, we will always attentively listen to the voices of our customers, ensuring their desires are our utmost priority.”
Genesis also used the BIMOS event to showcase its redesigned Electrified G80 and Neolun concept car following its debut in New York earlier this year. A total of seven Genesis models are on show in Busan, the event running until July 7.
