Future models - Genesis - GV70Updated Genesis GV70 headed here late in 2024Genesis has facelifted its GV70 SUV, MY25 update due Down Under before the end of the year26 Apr 2024 By MATT BROGAN GENESIS has given a mild makeover to its GV70 SUV, the mid-sized premium model due in Australian showrooms later in 2024.
With refreshed looks and technology, the updated model is the first to follow the original GV70, launched in 2021.
Newly styled bumper covers, double-layered badging on the dual-weave mesh G-Matrix Crest grille, and larger air intakes characterise the new look, the Two Line headlights also updated to offer Micro Lens Array technology, as per those of the recently updated GV80 SUV and Coupe.
Other visual changes include 19- and 21-inch alloy wheel options and, at the rear, a Dark Chrome diffuser and exhaust tips, Two Line tail-lights and relocated centre brake light, and higher resolution camera.
The camera upgrade is part of a broader technology suite that includes a single-piece 27.0-inch OLED instrumentation and infotainment cluster, once more found in the GV80 twins, touch-type climate controls, and new mood lighting.
A new horn cover and two-tone leather steering wheel round out the changes.
Due to go on sale in South Korean this month, the updated 2025 Genesis GV70 will make its way into local showrooms before the end of the year. Genesis Australia says pricing and further specification detail will be announced closer to that time.
Genesis has sold just 214 examples of the GV70 to the end of March, an increase of 76 units over the same time in 2023.
The model competes in the Medium SUV over $60K segment where it competes against the likes of the Audi Q5 (574), BMW X3 (773), Lexus NX (1478), and Mercedes-Benz GLC-Class (589). The segment is currently led by the all-electric Tesla Model Y with 6835 units sold year-to-date.
