Future models - BMW - 3 Series - Coupe and ConvertibleFirst look: BMW freshens 3 Series two-doorsIt’s facelift time for BMW’s two-door 3 Series Coupe and Convertible models18 Jan 2010 BMW has revealed first images of the facelifted 3 Series Coupe and Convertible models that will go on sale in Australia in mid-2010. Changes include revised front, side and rear bodywork in an attempt to inject more visual dynamism, while some models will also receive EU5-meeting engines offering more performance and efficiency. Both two-door models gain new dual round headlights with light rings and light bars, a new bonnet and a new front bumper with restyled “three-dimensional” kidney grille and silver-finished lower air-dam bars. Revised versions of the fixed and folding-roof 3 Series will also offer different side skirts, while a new rear bumper straddles two-piece L-shaped tail-light clusters s with new “LED-fed” lights. Rounding out the changes are new exterior paint colours, a fresh range of leather trim and new entertainment functions from the BMW ConnectedDrive menu. Pricing for the updated 3 Series Coupe and Convertible line-up – which accounts for 25 per cent of BMW Australia’s volume-selling 3 Series range and 10 per cent of all BMW sales here – will be revealed closer to launch.
