Grades above the entry-level Altise, such as the luxury-lite Atara S, semi-sporty Atara SX and flagship Atara SL, contribute to the bulk of private purchases in a model range priced between $29,490 and $40,440 plus on-road costs. The most expensive Atara SL hybrid, as tested here, aims to blend efficiency with space and luxury, all from a whisker over $40K. So, should private buyers continue to look at the Camry?
