Super TestCar reviews - Subaru - Impreza - WRX STi sedanSubaru modelsWhat's Changed22 May 2002 AS this is the first STi version of the second generation Impreza, it naturally benefits from all the changes that occurred to the base car when the second generation range was launched in October, 2000. The previous STi model (Version VI sedan) had a larger, WRC-style rear spoiler, separate front lip spoiler and rear windscreen wiper to distinguish it from the standard WRX, but retained the base car's alloy wheels although they were gold. The new STi keeps the WRX's rear spoiler and front bumper/spoiler set-up and no longer gets a rear wiper, but has new alloy wheels and a larger bonnet scoop. Did you know? The MY99 STi is quicker than the new MY02 STi. Back-to-back testing at Sydney's Eastern Creek Raceway by Subaru rally driver Cody Crocker produced a 0-100km/h time for the old STi of 5.16 seconds, compared to the new STi's 5.45 secondsAll car reviewsAlfa Romeo Abarth Alpine Alpina Audi Aston Martin BMW Bentley Chevrolet Chery Citroen Chrysler Dodge Cupra Ferrari DS Ford Fiat FPV Foton GWM Great Wall Holden Haval HSV Honda Hyundai Hummer Isuzu Infiniti Jeep Jaguar Lamborghini Kia LDV Land Rover Lotus Lexus Maserati Mahindra McLaren Mazda Mercedes-Benz Mercedes-AMG Mini MG Nissan Mitsubishi Peugeot Opel Proton Porsche Renault Ram Rover Rolls-Royce Skoda Saab SsangYong Smart Suzuki Subaru Toyota Tesla Volvo Volkswagen |
