WRC-inspired tri-lamp projector beam headlights have replaced the Impreza's goggle-eyed units, while the WRX's trademark bonnet scoop is taller on the STi by 15mm. Other distinguishing exterior features include STi-badged foglight covers (but there are no foglights underneath), unique mesh grille with STi logo, unique grille surround with enlarged opening, new design 17-inch gold alloy wheels, body-coloured side skirts, single-outlet STi exhaust, STi decals on the front doors and an STi badge on the boot lid.
