Brake rotor size has increased to 316mm x 34mm at the front and 330mm x 18mm at the rear to maximise cooling performance. Furthermore, the brake calliper piston area has increased from 36 to 41 square centimetres up front and 18 to 20 square centimetres at the rear to improve braking performance and provide a more solid, direct-braking feel. An "intelligent" four-channel anti-lock braking system, featuring a G-sensor system that recognises the different inputs of specific off-road situations and which will operate when the differential lock is engaged, is fitted standard on Patrol Ti.
