Super TestCar reviews - Mitsubishi - Magna - Ralliart sedanMitsubishi modelsResearch Mitsubishi The Car24 Jun 2002 MITSUBISHI says the Ralliart Magna's bodykit was inspired by the Lancer Evo VI Tommi Makinen Edition. The practical door handles, stylish twin headlights and basic sheetmetal of garden variety Magnas remain, but the reserved plastic work at the front, rear and sides has been replaced with aggressive and extremely low-slung bodywork that leaves no doubt this is the hottest factory Magna ever built. Featuring Lancer Evo-style fluted "gills" either side of the ridiculously low front bumper, the sporting theme continues to the chunky side skirts and massive bi-plane rear wing that obscures rear vision. According to Mitsubishi, the Evo-style twin-deck rear spoiler has a fixed upper deck that is specially angled for optimum balance between downforce and drag. The large lower grille opening contains specific diagonal mesh inserts to match the split upper grille, while a large hexagonal-shaped tailpipe and complex 17-inch alloys complete the in-your-face picture.
