Super TestCar reviews - Mitsubishi - Lancer - VR-X coupeMitsubishi modelsSeat Plan1 Feb 2001 THE Lancer coupe is nominally a five-seater but, as with most vehicles in this genre, is more suited to four. The low rear roofline restricts headroom so it's really not comfortable for tall people. And it lacks the luggage carrying ability of a hatchback - especially with the lack of a folding rear seat. Front shoulder room measures 1360mm, head room 980mm, leg room 1090mm, while at the rear the tape measure reveals shoulder room to 1350mm, head room 910mm and leg room 790mm. Airbags are optional and head restraints are provided for front passengers only. The centre-rear position has a lap belt only.
