While the previous generation 323 utilised a clamp-style rack mount, the current uses a more rigid bush set-up which Mazda claims offers more precise and responsive feedback to driver input. Improved responsiveness and reduced friction were also targeted with the use of a sheetmetal support yolk, as opposed to plastic.
