Road TestCar reviews - Hyundai - Accent - Active CRDi 5-dr hatchHyundai modelsOverviewDiesel power gives Hyundai’s Accent light car a performance and economy boost9 Mar 2012 THIS is the cheapest diesel-engined car in Australia – the Hyundai Accent Active CRDi – and it is a full $2000 cheaper than the closest opposition, Ford’s Fiesta LX TDCi. Though $2500 dearer than the equivalent Accent petrol model, it is also great value, with excellent performance and a reasonable standard specification list, though no optional extras for those wanting a higher level of features. Critically in this day and age, there is no cruise control offered. But that is one of few significant drawbacks for a car that offers brilliant performance and economy on a budget.
