Super TestCar reviews - Ford - F-Series - F250 XLT Crew Cab utilityFord modelsPlan Views6 Jun 2002 FORD F250 and F350 vehicles come with a choice of three engines and two transmissions. There is a 5.4-litre petrol V8 that delivers 194kW at 4500rpm and 475Nm of torque at 2500rpm, a 4.2-litre I6 diesel that delivers 132kW at 3400rpm and 500Nm at 1600rpm and, if you require more torque than that, there is a 7.3-litre turbo-diesel V8 that delivers 175kW at 2600rpm and a monstrous 684Nm at 1800rpm. It's as close to a truck engine as you would expect to find in this type of body design, while the choice of transmission is four-speed auto or, on selected models, five or six-speed manual.
