Super TestCar reviews - Chrysler - PT Cruiser - Limited 5-dr wagonChrysler modelsTransmission10 Jan 2001 UNLIKE the unfortunate Neon, the PT Cruiser is available with a "proper" automatic transmission incorporating four ratios where the Neon has only three. The auto includes adaptive shifting that "learns" driver behaviour and operates accordingly, and has a measure of intelligence to discourage gearbox "hunting" when driving on hilly terrain. The auto's ratios are widely spaced to help spread the speed range covered. Like the Neon, base transmission is a five-speed manual. Did you know? Two show trucks based on the PT Cruiser have been on the show circuit - the 2.4-litre turbocharged GT Cruiser and the two-seat, two-door, low-riding Panel Cruiser vanAll car reviewsAlfa Romeo Abarth Alpine Alpina Audi Aston Martin BMW Bentley Chevrolet Chery Citroen Chrysler Dodge Cupra Ferrari DS Ford Fiat FPV Foton GWM Great Wall Holden Haval HSV Honda Hyundai Hummer Isuzu Infiniti Jeep Jaguar Lamborghini Kia LDV Land Rover Lotus Lexus Maserati Mahindra McLaren Mazda Mercedes-Benz Mercedes-AMG Mini MG Nissan Mitsubishi Peugeot Opel Proton Porsche Renault Ram Rover Rolls-Royce Skoda Saab SsangYong Smart Suzuki Subaru Toyota Tesla Volvo Volkswagen |
