This little Corolla-size three-door hatch costs more than any other small sporting coupe on the road, justifying the fact with powerful road manners and a badge that has begun earning real credibility of late. If you ignore the price, the S3 is a great drive, comfortable, beautifully built and well fitted out, as well as being a practical conveyance for four or maybe five passengers. It could do with a little more road presence though.
