Available only in the five-door Sportback version, the six-speed dual-clutch automatic is bound to lure new customers to the premium hot hatch. For those unfamiliar with the S3, it has a potent 188kW and 330Nm turbo 1.8 engine and quattro all-wheel-drive system to make sure it has no problem getting its power down to the ground. The new six-speed automatic shifts more quickly than the manual, meaning it is able to dash from 0-100km/h in just 5.6 seconds. That’s quite an achievement when you take into account that its average fuel economy figure is just 8.3 litres per 100km.
