A spacious, nicely equipped and well-made sedan, the Liberty can be expensive to run and maintain of neglected. Boxy styling not to everybody's taste. MAZDA 626 4D SEDAN (1992-1997) OTHERWISE known (with minor styling changes) as the Ford Telstar. Available in two body styles, the award-winning 626 appeals with a spacious and comfy cabin, keen ride and handling characteristics and high quality build. A sweet-spinning 2.0 'four' cylinder or 2.5 V6 are the engine options. HONDA ACCORD 4D SEDAN (1989-1993) HONDA has a reputation for engineering excellence and quality, although servicing and repairs can be expensive. The Accord is powered by a 2.2 four-cylinder engine driving the front wheels through a four-speed auto or five-speed manual transmission. Central locking, power mirrors, power steering and power windows are standard but air-conditioning is not. TOYOTA CRESSIDA 4D SEDAN (1988-1993) POWERED by an inline, six-cylinder, twin camshaft, four-valve engine developing 142kW, the Cressida has impressive performance. Beautifully finished with a long list of extras. Available with four-speed automatic transmission only, driving the rear wheels. All-independent suspension and four-wheel disc brakes give excellent road manners.
