That sub-AMG flagship 4.7-litre turbocharged V8 drivetrain was also introduced to the Shooting Brake sporty wagon range as part of the range refresh. Although the new CLS400 added another option, the discontinuation of the mighty 63 AMG S version of the Shooting Brake maintained the six-variant line-up. Prices increased in most cases across the board but each hike was accompanied by equipment enhancements, such as a nine-speed automatic transmission for all except the AMG coupe, which made do with seven ratios.
