Honda IntegraMk2 Integra1 Jun 1989 The second generation Integra LS enjoyed considerable success as a compact premium sports coupe, enticing buyers with its stylish good looks, invitingly airy interior, high equipment levels (alloy wheels, central locking, power steering, power mirrors, sunroof, power windows), gusty 96kW 1.8L twin-cam 16-valve four-cylinder engine and sharp handling properties. This one was based on the Mk4 Civic, so it inherited its advanced double wishbone suspension set-up. And gone were the faddish pop-up headlights, replaced by distinctively long fixed units. In June ’92 a small facelift meant altered bumpers, new tail-lights, redesigned alloy wheels, revised cabin trim and a handy increase in power, which was now rated at 103kW. |
