Toyota gave its then-current generation Yaris a second facelift in March 2017, as the light hatch required a shot in the arm to stay competitive in an increasingly less popular segment.
The redesigned front fascia with its large grille opening was the most prominent change from the update, and was complimented by wrap-around tail-lights at the rear-end.
Meanwhile, the top-spec ZR variant benefited from the addition of satellite navigation, LED headlights and fog-lamps, climate control air-conditioning and Toyota’s safety sense package which included lane departure warning, automatic high beam and pre-collision warning systems.
Pricing remained consistent across the board, apart from the ZR which attracted a $550 increase to $22,470 before on-road costs.
