A COMPLETELY redesigned Yaris light hatch arrived in October 2011, bigger, safer and more refined than ever before.
Ready to battle the Mazda2, Ford Fiesta and Holden Barina, the Yaris was available in three and five door body-styles and six variants and came with a choice of two engines – a 1.3 and a 1.5-litre twin cam four cylinder petrol engine.
Fairly well-specified from launch, the Yaris came standard with a trip computer, steering wheel-mounted controls for the improved audio system, Bluetooth phone connectivity, anti-whiplash front head restraints, 14-inch wheels and the option of cruise control.
