BMW’s second-generation X6 coupe/crossover arrived in Australian showrooms in early 2015 with five proper seats instead of the first-generation’s four.
Built alongside the X3, X4 and X5 at BMW’s South Carolina plant, the new all-wheel-drive-only X6 came equipped with an eight-speed sports automatic transmission, LED headlights, 20-inch alloy wheels, cruise control, keyless start, rain-sending wipers and Bluetooth.
The X6 range launched with a range consisting of various engine choices, ranging from an entry level 3.0-litre inline six-cylinder turbocharged diesel to a range-topping 3.0-litre triple-turbo six-cylinder diesel, alongside various mid-range petrol engines.
