Charging voucher, six months’ insurance, three free services for Ford Mustang Mach-EGallery Click to see larger images 2 Dec 2024 By MATT BROGAN FORD Australia is offering a limited-time package of perks with its Mustang Mach-E until the end of the year, comprising six months of complimentary insurance through Ford Insure, a $500 Evie Network charging voucher, and three free services.
The offer, which Ford Australia says “eliminates charging doubts” and reduces the “hassle” of electric vehicle ownership, helps encourage access to the national Evie charging network’s 270 Autocharge-enabled fast charging locations.
Autocharge is said to simplify vehicle charging sessions by initiating a charging session as soon as a vehicle is plugged in and debiting the associated account automatically.
“Ford and Evie are working together to make life easier for our EV customers,” said Ford Australia general manager of electric vehicles Myles Hartley.
“Simply drive up, plug in, and go grab a coffee. We want to make the ownership experience as easy as possible for Ford customers on the first steps of their electrification journey.”
The Ford Mustang Mach-E, which is priced from $64,990 to $97,375 plus on-road costs, is the slowest-selling vehicle in the current Ford Australia portfolio with year-to-date deliveries of just 612 units (not including part-year sales numbers achieved by the now-defunct Puma and Escape SUVs).
Sales of regular (petrol-powered) Mustang models total 866 (down 40.7 per cent), while the Everest large SUV has achieved 21,281 sales to the end of October (up 74.6 per cent), Ranger 4x2 sales are at 4091 units (down 6.7 per cent), and Ranger 4x4 sales of 49,028 units are up 9.2 per cent.
The F-150 is on 1881 units and Transit light commercial models reached a cumulative 4151 sales to the end of October this year.
In all, Ford Australia has sold a total of 83,145 new vehicles to the end of October (2024), up 19.1 per cent on the same period in 2023. The importer currently ranks in second place on the Australian sales ladder behind Toyota.
