New models - Tata - XenonTata factory bonus cuts Xenon priceIndian-owned Tata has slashed prices on its 2014-plated light commercial line-up31 Jul 2014 TATA Motors has announced a factory bonus on its Indian-built Xenon utility and cab chassis range until September 7 with savings of up to $2000, depending on the variant. The announcement comes after Tata discounted prices on 2013-plated Xenon vehicles in June as part of an end of financial year promotion, which the Indian brand has decided to extend. The latest incentive from Tata is a cash-back offer on all 2014-plated vehicles in the Xenon line-up, which consists of six variants available in two-wheel and four-wheel drive guise with a choice of three body styles: Single Cab Chassis, Single Cab Pick-Up and Dual Cab Pick-Up. Kicking off the range is the two-wheel drive Single Cab Chassis with the factory bonus dropping its 2014-plated price of $20,990 by $1000 for $19,990 driveaway. At the top of the range is the four-wheel drive Dual Cab Pick-Up which gets a $2000 price cut to $25,990 driveaway for the 2014 car. The powerplant under the bonnet of all variants is a 2.2-litre four-cylinder turbo diesel engine producing 110kW and 320Nm which is matched to a five-speed manual gearbox. All variants have a towing capacity of 2500kg and a payload capacity, which ranges from 880kg in the four-wheel drive version of the Dual Cab Pick-Up to 1080kg in the two-wheel drive Single Cab Chassis. Standard features across the range include remote keyless entry, AM/FM radio with CD, USB input and iPod connectivity. Parking sensors and satellite navigation can be optioned in all variants. The Tata Xenon range was re-launched in October last year and it’s currently the only model on sale in Australia by the Indian-owned car-maker.
