New models - Porsche - Taycan - GTSPorsche adds 4 and GTS to Taycan rangeUpdated Taycan line-up due in Australia H1 2025, new 4 from $184,500 + ORC19 Nov 2024 By MATT BROGAN PORSCHE will round out its Australian Taycan line-up in the first half of next year when the 4 and GTS variants join the fold.
The all-electric Porsche Taycan range now boasts 11 variants locally, with the 4 sedan available from $184,500 plus on-road costs and the GTS from $260,300 + ORC, or $12,000 more than before.
Porsche’s Taycan 4 sedan shares its powertrain specifications with the equivalent wagon, offering 320kW and 610Nm via all-wheel drive for a claimed 0-100km/h time of 4.6 seconds.
The variant is further equipped with a larger 89.0kWh battery (+10kWh), with an optional Performance Battery Plus offering 105.0kWh. Range for either variant is yet to be announced.
The Taycan 4 sedan arrives as standard with 19-inch alloy wheels over black-painted brake callipers, adaptive air suspension, adaptive cruise control, digital radio reception (DAB+), head-up display, keyless entry and start, partial leather upholstery, matrix LED headlights, rear privacy glass, and a surround view camera system.
Porsche has also returned the GTS grade to the Aussie Taycan line-up, the sedan variant positioned above the 4S sedan and beneath the Turbo sedan.
Substantially upgraded for 2025, the variant now arrives with 515kW of power (+75kW) – enabling a 0-100km/h sprint of 3.3 seconds – and a 105.0kWh battery pack – again with no range details provided.
The 2025 Porsche Taycan GTS sedan is equipped as standard with revised front and rear bumper covers, high-gloss black garnishing, and 20-inch alloy wheels (with 21-inch alloys available as an option).
Additional equipment highlights include Porsche’s Sports Chrono package, Race-Tex and leather combination upholstery, multi-function steering wheel, Bose audio system, GTS instrument cluster, and more.
“With the extremely wide-ranging Taycan line-up, we meet a wide range of customer wishes and mobility needs. Our two latest innovations exemplify this exceptional breadth.” said Porsche Taycan model line vice president Kevin Giek.
“Even the first generation of the Taycan GTS was already the sporty standard-bearer of the model line, positioned between the Taycan 4S and Taycan Turbo; and the new edition is no exception.
“At the other end of the range, the Taycan 4 sports sedan combines the high efficiency of the entry-level model with the superior handling of all-wheel drive.”
Order books are now open for the 2025 Porsche Taycan 4 and GTS sedan. Deliveries commence in the first half of the new year.
