New models - Nissan - PatrolPatrol updates for 2007Patrol's turbo-diesel engine gets common-rail fuel-injection for MY200721 Mar 2007 By TERRY MARTIN NISSAN has introduced a 2007 Model Year version of its Patrol 4WD, which now has cruise control fitted as standard across the range and, on the 3.0-litre turbo-diesel, compliance with the strict Euro IV emissions standard. To meet the latter, the diesel now has a common-rail fuel-injection system, and although maximum power (118kW) and torque (380Nm) remain unchanged, Nissan claims tangible improvements in terms of refinement and responsiveness. Peak torque now comes in at 3200rpm, down 400rpm. Pricing increases $250 over the previous model. The 4.8-litre straight-six petrol engine continues unchanged, as does the petrol/diesel model spread comprising the ST, ST-S, ST-L and Ti seven-seat variants and, on the diesel only, a DX five-seat version. The diesel is available with either a five-speed manual or four-speed automatic, while the petrol comes standard with a five-speed auto.
