New models - Nissan - NavaraNissan lobs initial driveaway pricing for NavaraUpdated Nissan Navara pick-up to be offered from $32,990 driveaway for ABN holders28 Dec 2020 NISSAN has announced initial pricing for its reworked Navara pick-up range, with the new line-up set to be offered from $32,990 driveaway for the SL cab-chassis 4x2 manual, however the driveaway offer is for ABN buyers only.
While full range pricing will be revealed closer to the revised Navara’s local arrival early next year, the line-up will currently top out at $61,290 driveaway for the newly introduced Pro-4X automatic, which will be superseded as range-topper by the arrival of the N-Trek Warrior at a later date.
The ST dual-cab 4x4 manual asks $49,490, while the ST-X (expected to be the most popular variant with around one-third of all sales) will cost ABN buyers $55,709 for the manual, up to $57,290 for the auto.
Like the outgoing range, the new Navara will be offered with the choice of single, extra or dual-cab body styles, 4x2 or 4x4 drivelines and a six-speed manual or seven-speed automatic transmission.
Along with initial pricing, Nissan has also outlined specification details for the range, starting with the single-cab SL which comes with 17-inch steel wheels, halogen headlights and daytime running lights (DRLs), an 8.0-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, a 7.0-inch instrument cluster display, digital speedometer, power adjustable door mirrors, power windows, automatic headlights, and for 4x4 grades, hill descent control and a rear differential lock.
On the safety front, the SL scores autonomous emergency braking, forward collision warning, intelligent driver alert, trailer sway control, hill start assist, reversing camera and seven airbags.
The king cab (extra cab) SL features the same spec with the addition of air conditioning with a rear passenger air vent, while the dual-cab adds tailgate assist.
Building on the SL, the ST dual-cab adds 17-inch alloys, LED lighting all round, rear privacy glass, power-sliding rear window, stainless steel sports bar, leather-accented steering wheel and gear lever, satellite navigation and DAB+ digital radio, auto-dimming rearview mirror, power folding door mirrors, rain-sensing wipers and heated door mirrors.
It also adds a drive mode selector for 4x4 automatics, off-road monitor for 4x4s, surround-view monitor, rear parking sensors, lane departure warning, lane keep assist, blind spot warning, intelligent blind spot intervention, rear cross-traffic alert and high-beam assist.
The volume-selling ST-X includes 18-inch alloys, polished stainless steel sports bar, tubliner, intelligent key with push-button start, dual-zone climate control, tyre pressure monitor, towbar and two-channel sliding tie-down hooks.
Two option packs are available on the ST-X, with the first including leather-accented seat trim, heated front seats, eight-way power adjustable driver’s seat and power lumbar support, while the second pack bundles all the previous features with an electric sunroof.
At the top of the range, the Pro-4X adds all-terrain tyres, black stainless steel sports bar with sail panel, blacked-out fender flares, roof rails, alloy wheels, door mirrors, side steps, grille and door handles, and leather-accented Pro-4X seats.
Like the outgoing range, the majority of the Navara line-up will be underpinned by the familiar 2.3-litre twin-turbo-diesel four-cylinder engine, which will continue to output 140kW/450Nm.
Two 4x2 manual variants will make do with a single-turbo version of the above engine, tuned to produce 120kW/403Nm.
Full pricing is expected to be made available closer to launch.
With one month left in 2020, Nissan has sold 10,338 combined Navaras, down on the 12,382 it managed to the same point last year.
