As the newest Maserati sports flagship, the Gransport Spyder follows the Gransport Coupe’s lead by offering more aggressive styling, improved performance from a 294kW 4.2-litre V8, reworked suspension and 19-inch wheels and tyres. Pricing has been set at $260,000. While full details will be announced when it arrives on sale here mid-year, Maserati also used Melbourne to release both the Quattroporte Executive GT ($286,000) and Quattroporte Sport GT ($275,000) models that debuted in Sydney last year. While the former features wood veneer interior finishes, 19-inch wheels, a chrome mesh grille, side chrome grille and Alcantara headlining, the latter offers a carbon-fibre interior, 20-inch wheels, aluminium pedal covers, specific Skyhook suspension tuning, a sports-tuned exhaust and improved SMG transmission software for 35 per cent-faster gearshifting.
