New models - Lexus - UX - 250h F Sport Design Special EditionLexus lands Design edition of UX250h F SportStylish special edition Lexus UX combines sporty, luxury themes – from $58,120 + ORC16 Mar 2023 By MATT BROGAN LEXUS has introduced a new limited-edition variant to its UX SUV range this month, the 250h F Sport Design special edition that slots between the 200 F Sport and 250h Sport Luxury grades in the Japanese luxury brand’s model walk.
The front-wheel drive variant is priced from $58,120 plus on-road costs and is due in showrooms from the middle of April, adding what Lexus Australia says is a “touch of flair with unique exterior and interior enhancements”.
Just 250 examples of the Lexus UX 250h F Sport Design special edition will be offered in Australia, each offering for the first time on a UX, a two-tone roof.
The variant is further distinguished by black roof rails and wing mirror caps, body-coloured wheel arches, grade-specific grille and front and rear bumper covers, 18-inch alloy wheels with run-flat tyres, and an F Sport Design badge.
Lexus has further equipped the special edition UX with a moonroof, colour head-up display and smart key, while also offering six exclusive two-tone exterior finishes: White Nova, Sonic Chrome, Sonic Iridium, Caliente and Cobalt Mica.
Inside, the UX250h F Sport Design Special Edition is upholstered in NuLuxe leather-accented trim in Black or White Ash hues, each paired with high-quality Washi paper ornamentation.
The premium compact SUV adds to the specification of the UX250h Luxury with EP2 with standard wireless phone charger, heated seats with eight-way powered driver’s side adjustment, and a powered tailgate. Lexus says these items are offered in lieu of alloy scuff plates, illuminated entry and a tyre repair kit.
Of course, all Lexus’ standard safety equipment remains fitted as standard, as does a 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen and 7.0-inch multi-information display, the latest Lexus multimedia system, wireless Apple CarPlay, wired Android Auto, and DAB+ digital radio reception.
The UX250h F Sport Design Special Edition is powered by the same hybrid drivetrain offered elsewhere in the UX line-up, comprising a 107kW/188Nm 2.0-litre four-cylinder petrol engine and 80kW/202Nm electric motor to deliver a combined system figure of 135kW.
Lexus says the model will sip as little as 4.5 litres per 100km on the ADR combined cycle.
