New models - Haval - H2Haval simplifies H2 SUV line-upNew look: Haval has given the H2 a few visual enhancements ready for 2020. Manual, auto City versions out as Haval adds value to remaining H2 range for MY203 Dec 2019 HAVAL has given its H2 small SUV range a shake-up for the 2020 model year, axing the entry-level City model variants while boosting the remaining Premium and Lux grades with minor tech and styling upgrades.
Retaining the same base price of $22,990 driveaway, the Premium has become the entry point to the Haval range after the Australian subsidiary of the Chinese manufacturer confirmed it was dropping the manual and automatic City variants from the local line-up for a “more simplistic approach”.
The City manual and auto were priced from $19,990and $20,990 driveaway respectively and their deletion marks the end of a short-lived campaign for the sub-$20K six-speed manual introduced a year ago.
The Premium and Lux variants – the latter priced at $25,900 d/a – solider on alone with the six-speed automatic, which combines with the (unchanged) 1.5-litre turbo-petrol four-cylinder engine producing 110kW of power and 210Nm of torque.
The MY20 update sees both Premium and Lux pick up Apple CarPlay connectivity, while the Lux also scores LED headlights and a panoramic sunroof.
Standard equipment on the Premium also includes keyless entry/start, foglamps, LED daytime running lights and a rearview camera, while the Lux ups the ante with heated front Comfort-Tec seats.
Style-wise, both variants receive new front and rear facias.
Haval Motors Australia national marketing manager Bill Soo said the H2 offered outstanding value and that this was a primary focus for the brand.
All variants of the H2 come with Haval’stransferable seven-year/100,000km warranty and five-year national roadside assistance program.
