New models - GMSV - corvetteCorvette range priced for 2024Stingray C8 and Z06 range pricing jumps $5000; Corvette E-Ray slated for 2024 arrival21 Jul 2023 By MATT BROGAN GENERAL Motors Special Vehicles (GMSV) has announced pricing for its updated MY24 Corvette range this week, with the updated Stingray C8 now retailing from $175,000 plus on-road costs – a $5000 increase – and the keenly anticipated Z06 from $336,000 +ORC.
New Zealand pricing has also been updated and is available at the bottom of this page.
For the 2024 Model Year, the Chevrolet Corvette Stingray C8 coupe and convertible will be enhanced with new safety credentials including forward collision alert with low-speed automatic emergency braking (AEB), lane keep assist with lane departure warning, following distance indicator, front pedestrian braking, and Intellibeam auto high beam assist.
The two-seat sportscar range also undergoes a mild aesthetic overhaul, adding a new Z51 rear spoiler design and two new five-split spoke alloy wheel options – in Satin Graphite with a machined edge or Bright Machined finish – to differentiate it from the current model range.
Further, the MY24 Corvette is available in fresh new colours, including Cacti Green, Riptide Blue and Sea Wolf Grey, with Carbon Flash now a regular across all model grades.
Additional visual cues include a wider, full-length Carbon Flash stripe design with five new colour options: Blue, Orange, Red, Silver and Yellow.
Inside the cockpit, the Corvette features new Drive Mode Selector animations, while a new engine appearance package is available with the convertible range, and a lighting option reinstated on 2LT variants.
A lighting option package and carbon-fibre close-out panels are also available on 3LT variants.
Rounding out the updates is a new ‘frunk’ (front trunk) power soft-close latch.
“We’re thrilled to announce a series of updates to the upcoming MY24 C8 Corvette, additions which will make an already phenomenal performance vehicle all the more outstanding,” said GMSV director, Greg Rowe. “Included in this exciting news is more information about the sensational new Z06, a rear-wheel drive, mid-engine supercar manufactured right-hand drive and featuring an exquisite power plant, hand assembled by a master engine builder at the home of Corvette, the GM Bowling Green plant in Kentucky.”
Meanwhile, the first MY24 Corvette Z06 shipments are anticipated in Australia and New Zealand from later this year.
Landing in 3LZ trim specification as standard – which includes carbon-fibre garnishing on the steering wheel and paddle shifters, sueded microfibre on the upper trim, leather-wrapped door cards and instrument binnacle, and GT2 bucket seats in Nappa leather – the Z06 will be further available with Chevrolet’s Z07 Performance Pack, adding larger diameter carbon ceramic brake rotors, carbon-fibre aero elements, unique suspension tuning and Aussie-made carbon-fibre wheels with ultra-performance tyres. “Due to incredible global demand, the Corvette Z06 is a measured volume proposition, in keeping with its exclusive nature, availability will be very controlled,” said Mr Rowe. “We appreciate this may disappoint many performance enthusiasts, but at the same time it will ensure those who do become a Z06 owner will know they possess a very special piece of automotive folklore.”
Mr Rowe also reiterated GMSV’s commitment to bring the electrified Corvette E-Ray Down Under, the innovative ‘hybrid’ sportscar combining an e-AWD system that works in tandem with its LT2 V8 engine to give it the fastest 0-100km/h time in Corvette history.
The Corvette E-Ray is characterised by a host of functional design elements, adding wider fenders, quarter panels and facias. More information about the Corvette E-Ray, including pricing, will be made available next year. 2024 Chevrolet Corvette pricing* (Australia):
