New models - Citroen - C4 PicassoCitroen cuts Picasso pricingCitroen prices diesel Picasso under $40,000, saving $4000 for the month of May only19 May 2008 CITROEN Australia has slashed $4000 from the price of its C4 Picasso HDi auto for the month of May only, by offering its 2.0-litre diesel-powered people-mover for the same price as the 2.0-litre petrol auto version - $39,990. The move hopes to ride the surge in sales of diesel passenger car sales to private buyers, which has increased by 50 per cent so far this year – compared to a five per cent drop in petrol-powered passenger cars sales. “People-movers are, for obvious reasons, predominantly bought by families and it is families who are usually the first to feel the affects of a tightening economy,” said the general manager for Citroen in Australia, Miles Williams. “So we have moved to make the best family car on the market even more accessible in the diesel version, which will go on saving money throughout its life on the road, as well as saving at least $4000 at the point of purchase. “Add in the C4 Picasso’s long list of standard equipment, intelligent design, the environmental advantages of cutting fuel consumption with a diesel and its five star EuroNCAP safety rating and the C4 Picasso is, clearly, the ideal family car.” Read more:First look: Picasso's new loungeroomAll new modelsAlfa Romeo Abarth Alpine Alpina Audi Aston Martin BMW Bentley Chery Brabham Chrysler Chevrolet Cupra Citroen DS Dodge Fiat Ferrari Foton Ford Great Wall FPV Haval GWM Honda Holden Hyundai HSV Isuzu Infiniti Jeep Jaguar Lamborghini Kia LDV Land Rover Lotus Lexus Maserati Mahindra McLaren Mazda Mercedes-Benz Mercedes-AMG Mini MG Nissan Mitsubishi Pagani Opel Porsche Peugeot Ram Proton Rolls-Royce Renault Saab Rover Smart Skoda Subaru SsangYong Tesla Suzuki Volkswagen Toyota Volvo Motor industry news |
