New models - Audi - Q4 - e-tronAudi Q4 e-tron pre-launch price cutGerman importer cuts $3310 from entry point to Q4 e-tron range30 Aug 2024 By MATT BROGAN GERMAN premium importer Audi has cut $3310 from the entry point to its Q4 e-tron electric SUV – even before the model arrives in local dealerships.
To further sweeten the deal, it will also offer free public charging on the Q4 e-tron range via the Chargefox network, the 12-month deal enabling customers to “experience the full potential of their electric vehicle with ease and convenience”.
The deal is offered to customers who take delivery of their Q4 e-tron before the end of the calendar year.
The 2025 Audi Q4 e-tron range will now commence with the 45 e-tron SUV, priced from $84,990 plus on-road costs (-$3310). It is topped by the mid-tier 45 e-tron Sportback from $86,500 + ORC (-$1800) and 55 e-tron quattro SUV from $105,990 + ORC (-$2510).
The flagship 55 e-tron quattro Sportback will now retail from $107,990 + ORC (-$1510).
Audi Australia director Jeff Mannering says the decision to lower the price on the Q4 e-tron coincides with the availability of a denser battery pack capable of faster charging (up to 175kW DC) on ‘45’ and ‘55’ variants.
“We made a conscious decision to commence our market entry for the Q4 e-tron with Model Year 2025 vehicles which come with upgraded battery technology,” he said.
“This decision allows us to provide enhanced customer value across the Q4 e-tron range.”
All Q4 e-tron models are equipped with a large 82kWh battery (gross) and can charge from 10 to 80 per cent in approximately 28 minutes. Claimed driving range varies from 488km to 540km (WLTP) depending on variant.
In addition to the upgraded battery all Q4 e-tron variants gain full paint finish, with contrasting paint available as a no cost option. Pebble grey paint is no cost, with seven metallic hues available optionally.
As the arrival of the Q4 e-tron draws near, Audi Australia has confirmed that its entire dealer network is also now Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) certified.
It says the milestone represents the culmination of a two-year, multi-phase initiative to equip all Audi dealers nationally with the necessary infrastructure, training, and expertise to sell and service BEVs and PHEVs.
This certification is representative of much more than just preparing the network to retail BEVs and PHEVs, but also reflects on the brands’ steadfast commitment to driving the future of mobility in Australia with the incoming influx of BEVs in the Q4 e-tron, Q6 e-tron, and A6 e-tron.
“With the addition of our exclusive launch offer and the full support of our BEV-certified dealer network, the Q4 e-tron is poised to make a mark in the premium electric vehicle market,” added Mr Mannering.
“We are thrilled to bring this exceptional vehicle to our customers and look forward to seeing it on Australian roads shortly.”
